This week has seen the pupils in Year 6 sitting their SAT’s – a reading paper, grammar, punctuation and spelling papers as well as three mathematics papers. The tests were long, hard and in some instances very challenging. We have been so proud of how all the pupils have met the challenges of this week, applying themselves to the best of their ability in all they have done. They will just be one small measure in the midst of many when we assess our young people as they leave us. This week has already shown us they have developed skills of resilience, perseverance and dedication. Add to that their compassion, motivation to serve and sense of fun and adventure. Only when we look at the whole child can we truly get a true picture of their achievements at the end of primary school.
